Computer Classes
Library staff teaches classes on basic computer skills, Internet, email and Microsoft Word. Classes are small and fill up fast so registration is required. Check the Events calendar for a listing of dates and times. Call 817-952-2342 to sign up.
The Senior Center sponsors an Internet computer class at the library every Monday morning at 8:30 am. Learn basic computer skills, using the mouse, email how-tos and Internet searching. It is free of charge, open without registration to all who come.
Computers
Computers with Internet access and Office Products (including Word and Excel) are provided in the adult and children's areas. Self-registration is available with your Bedford Public Library card. Both black & white and color printing are offered for a small fee. For information on our Internet Procedures, call 817-952-2342 or view the Internet and Public Access Computer Policy.
Copy Machines
Two coin-operated photocopiers are provided for public use. Standard 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 14 copies can be made for .10 cents a page.

Disability Services
ZoomText software is provided on two of the public access computers. ZoomText Magnifier/Reader is a fully integrated magnification and screen reading program that enlarges, enhances and reads aloud everything on the computer screen. ZoomText computers may be reserved by calling 817-952-2342. Please identify yourself as low vision and have your library card number ready so that staff can make the reservation. The library also provides the Vantage CCD Reader, a magnifier that can turn any print into large print.
E-Mail Notification
Using the Library ELF alert service you can get e-mail notification of what's due, overdue and ready for pickup.
Fax Machine
The library does not have a fax machine available for public use at this time.
Holds
Library users may place their own holds on materials that are currently checked out. There is no fee for this service.

Income Tax Forms
The Library maintains a collection of the most commonly utilized forms for the public to pick up from January through April 15th. Reproducible tax forms for past years are available on CD-ROM.
Interlibrary Loan
If you need a book or magazine article that's not in our collection the chances are good that we can borrow it for you from another library. Please contact the Information Services desk at 817-952-2342 for more information. There is a small charge for this service.

Library Buddies
Bedford Public Library provides the Library Buddies program, an after-school learning program aimed at one-on-one assistance with homework. This program will team your child with a Teen Tutor in the Library under the direction and supervision of the Youth Services Department. Learn more about the Library Buddies program.
Meeting Room Space
A public meeting room is available to non-profit groups for meetings that are open to the public. Reservations need to be made in advance. There is a $50.00 damage deposit. To reserve the room call 817-952-2330.

Newsletter
A monthly newsletter is provided in print and online so you can keep up with what is going on at the library.
Notary
The library does not offer notary service at this time.
Online Accounts
You may access your own library account via the Internet; you will need your library card number. See what you have checked out, due dates, holds you have placed and even renew materials.
Programs
A variety of programs are offered throughout the year. For information, call 817-952-2372, or check the Library Events calendar.
Renewals
You may renew materials online by accessing your library account. Telephone renewal of materials is available by calling the Check Out Desk at 817-952-2352.

Storytimes
The Library offers multiple storytime sessions for your little ones. Find out which storytime is right for you.
Summer Reading Club
One of our biggest events, especially for kids, is the Summer Reading Club held each June and July. Read books and receive prizes. There are also exciting programs scheduled each week. Adults may participate in their own Summer Reading Club.
Typewriters
A self-correcting typewriter is provided for public use on a walk-in basis. You will need to bring your own paper.
Voter Registration
Voter registration cards may be picked up at the Check Out desk.
Wireless Internet Access
Bedford Public Library offers free wireless Internet access to library card holders. You will need a wireless device that is 802.11a or 802.11g compliant and a web browser. Learn more about wireless Internet access.
