Story Book Club

This program is geared for mature preschoolers who are ready to be listeners and who are old enough to walk, talk, sing, and follow multiple task instructions. This program introduces children to literature in a positive and playful way through the use of singing and rhyming. Flannel board illustrations, finger plays, music, and media presentations will be used to illustrate the best of children's literature. The program provides a pleasurable opportunity for children to participate in group activities and learn how to sit, look and listen in an audience setting. Development of these skills will help children prepare for the academic and behavioral expectations in a traditional school setting. This program is intended to encourage a love of reading and foster a life-long desire to learn.
